SUBJECT:
Resolution No. (R)17-27, authorizing and approving an intergovernmental agreement between the Town of Oro Valley and the Pima County Recorder to provide election services for the November 7, 2017 Special Bond Election
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
The attached resolution authorizes and approves an IGA between the Town and the Pima County Recorder to provide election services for the Town's November 7, 2017 Special Bond Election.
BACKGROUND OR DETAILED INFORMATION:
Arizona Revised Statutes, section 16-408(D), permits the governing body to enter into an agreement with the County Board of Supervisors and County Recorder for election services.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The cost for election services from the Pima County Recorder's Office for the November 7, 2017 Special Bond Election is estimated at $78,000.
SUGGESTED MOTION:
I MOVE to (adopt / deny) Resolution No. (R)17-27, authorizing and approving an intergovernmental agreement between the Town of Oro Valley and the Pima County Recorder to provide election services for the November 7, 2017 Special Bond Election.
